I plan to install a Hydroboost system on my dually on my next R&R. Is it really as simple as I have read about? I do not want something that is going to tie up a lot of my time. I plan on completing a few more installs while I am ay it. I am getting a ready made bolt on kit. One thing I am wondering is will I need my vacuum pump any more? Can I go ahead and discard it or is there more to it than that? Also, how do I bleed my power steering system?

I'm thinking you should be able to dispense with the belt-driven vacuum pump, and swap the HVAC system over to the electric pump and bong courtesy a '99+ donor truck.

PS bleeding is easy... turn the wheel lock-to-lock about 30 times, then take it out and drive it.

I never realized HVAC system is controled that way. I have taken several apart and now realize it. Will a parts store sell the electric pump?

parts stores will be able to order (stocking is doubtful) the pump but expect a price of around $170

I did not think about the bracketry and caple I would need. I saw one on ebay that has all of it. So I am going to try and get that one. All I need now are some photographs of how it is installed.
