ok well the deal is i need some cash and am thinkin about selling my snap-on scanner.but at the same time i need the scanner.what exactly can the autoE do?do i need to buy seperate software for each vehicle i work on?i payed somewhere close to 5,000.00 for the snap-on scanner a few years ago.i dont charge people for hokkin it up and finding the problem.so its kinda pointless to have spent that much on something i dont make much money off of.the main reason i bought it was for use on my 95 f350.since i now have a laptop i really wouldnt need to have both the laptop and the scanner with me all the time if the autoe will do everything the scanner does.do i have to pay a yearly fee just to use the software?

and if you can tell me what i need to buy from them that would be great.i do alot of ford diesels including my own, alot of the late 90s to present vehicles.ford,chrysler,gm,honda,toyota,bmw,mercedes,nissan.

im sorta getting out of mechanic work.so i really have no use for the snap-on scanner anymore.as long as i can scan my own vehicles ill be happy.

all i really care about useing it on is my truck.if it does others thats cool but not needed.im tired of helping people out with it.i dont make a dime off of it.i do it as a favor and hope to get the repair job and end up with nothing.so now its 150.00 for me to use it on somebodies car.ive done enough favor for people.now that i need a favor they all run from me.im going back to it being all about me and screw everybody else

I have the AE and I can't think of anything it doesn't do. You will need the Ford specific diesel program for your truck. It has a couple of features like a quarter mile function that will time you through the 1/4 mile, anywhere. Go for it.

I have used the AE software for over two years since I bought the truck. I just found out it works with any car/truck with an ODB2 port and will read and record all ODB2 parameters with no special extras such as those for the Diesel. I fixed an issue with the SES light on my wife's DTS a couple of weeks ago traced to a cracked vac line and helped my neighbor this past Monday on his little Ford powered pickup where the O2 sensors were shown to be dead. Great software!
