wont fit.your tires will stick out about 3 inches on each side.the dually most likely will have 4.10 gears.

matching axles for your truck are all SRW axles

you can get bolt in axles for any ford SRW 250 or 350 back to '88 (further back goes to Dana 60's instead of 10.25 if I'm remembering the break correctly) there may be some variations with brakes but beyond that the spring perches are in the same place and the WMS to WMS distances are the same.

Your truck would have either 3.55 or 4.10 gears. given the mods you have if you're looking for legs and better highway mileage then look for 3.55 gears.

On another note why are you looking to swap rear axles?

I have a single wheel and im looking to get rid of the truck, a guy i know wants it but it has to be a dually. he happens to have a 94 dually that we could swap the axle out of, just wanted to kno if it was possible, but i deff think the gears are different, im almost positive mine are not 4:10's

the axle will bolt in but you will need the dually bed as well or atleast a set of those fenders that they used on the srw conversions.

are you putting a wrecker body on it?cuz heres the deal and i hope i dont confuse you.in order to do this you should be starting with an unfinished cab/chassis not a pickup.

the pickup dually axle is about 6 inches wider than a srw axle.the unfinished cab/chassis dually axle is about6 inches narower than the srw axle.

now for the frame itself.you will need to stretch the frame.a wrecker body will not fit on a standar length frame.the axle is not gonna end up centered in the wheel wells.then youre gonna have to lop of a few inches from behind the axle.

youre friend is better off to find a tow truck and buy it.or get a cab/chassis that has the correct cab to axle measurement.i forget all the different configurations but go over to oilburners.net and PM member TOWCAT .he should be of more help than i am cuz i deal with carriers only since i cant use a wrecker in massachusetts without a special expansive license plate.

you need to determine a couple of things first.
rear springs and axles do not interchange between pickup chassis vs. commercial cab/chassis. How do you tell the difference? measure the frame width between the two trucks. pickup is roughly 38in outside to outside and the commercial chassis is roughly 35in outside to outside. the springs between the two are a completely different animal too. pickup springs are short and wide and the comm chassis is long and narrow. there is also a 4in difference between the two. commercial chassis has a distance of 60 in from the back of cab to the centerline of the axle and the pickup has 54in.
bottom line......
alot more info is needed between the two trucks before a determination of adaptability can be done.

modded trucks require finding the right buyer some view it as a truck that has been beaten on no matter how good the truck looks physically they question the mechanicals.

Right now prices vary widely across the country so what's a deal here would be obscene there or vice versa, you get the picture. Look in the local paper and on autotrader and see what you can find that is close to your truck minus mods but in close to the same condition. Figure up what you've spent on your mods that are going to stay on the truck and take 10-25% of that figure and add that to the price.

Given the list

Intake - 100
wildman chip - 500
Dp -120
gauges -400
trans - 1000 (over normal rebuild)
injectors - 600

total of about $2700
so you might see a return above the same unmodded truck of about $500 unless you find just the right buyer. This is why so many people remove the mods before selling because they are worth more individually than attached to the truck.
