So far, the 6.4 has logged a bit over 10K miles since I bought it in August. In the past three weeks I put about 5000 miles on the truck (hotshot work). I've been getting better and better mileage.
On most trips with a light load on the flatbed I can easily get 17 to 18 mpg. I usually drive at a max of 63 mph on the highway to keep the revs under 2 grand. This really helps with mileage. With no load, I can get 19 to 20 doing the same speeds.
I had a 165 mile trip carrying 3700 pounds and drove much slower. I averaged 14 mpg on that trip.
I'm pretty happy with the fuel efficiency so far.
