Changing the oil in the rearend and front

this is the first time doing this so if anyone has any suggestions or problems that you went through please let me know thanks... this is on a 06 f250 supercrew

Its crew cab not super crew, but anyways, as far as i know you just pull the diff cover off, drain. Then you have to get the old glue off then re apply. Then add oil. simple and easy.

A super crew has two rear suicide doors that only open when the front doors are open. A crew can has 4 doors that open individually.

As far as the axle fluid changes, make sure you get the correct weight oil that is recommended for your axles. If you have a rear limited slip you need a friction modifier or an oil that already contains one. I would use a synthetic such as Redline or Royal Purple.
You should be able to reseal the Diff covers with an RTV silicone. Just make sure the mounting surfaces on the axle and cover are clean and free of oil when you seal them back up.
This would also be a good time to upgrage to the cast aluminum rear cover from a 2008. They are around $50-$60.

does the 08 cover still hold the same amount of oil...what is the purpose of puttin the cast aluminum... i am putting royal purple....

Im not sure if the oil capacity is incresed or not. If it is, it is very minimal. The stamped steel covers have a tendency to rust. They also do not cool the oil as well as a 2008 cover. The 2008 cast aluminum cover has cooling fins on it to reduce rear axle oil temps.

a supercrew is a four door F-150, an extended cab has the suicide doors (Truck in my sig is an extended cab) crew cab is a SD four door.

changing the oil is pretty straight forward, just make sure you use the right stuff, like Big Duty said

do you have a manual? you should get one.
check the play in your diffs while you are in there.

use 'the good stuff'. its its real name. its better than regular rtv. it does not set by evaporation, its an anaerobic sealent, meaning it sets up in the absence of air. sets up quick too.

depending on your rear end, you may also need to add friction modifier. its a moly compound for the clutch. check the manual.

here is what you are looking at. as for the added lube amount, i do not think so.

follow above advise for removal and install and good luck.
