definately not the dogs,it is most definately the owners.i love my pit.i love the breed and will always have atleast one.great family pets if trained, treated and cared for properly.

has anybody checked the IPR(injection pressure regulator)?the cheesey little sheet metal nut that holds the electrical piece and spacer on is known to come loose or fall off.if the magnet part moves just a alittle bit it will kill the engine and cause it to not start till the shaking of the craning engine puts it back where it belongs.there are O rings on the ipr as well.if they are bad it will start and run fine cold and could do what you are describing as well.same with injector orings.has anybody checked the fuel pressure?your truck has an electric fuel pump and they dont last forever.i had a friends 99 f450 doing this as well.we couldnt find the problem till it died and he had to tow it back to his shop.i put a fuel pump in it and its been fine since.next time it dies open the water seperator and watch down the front of the engine and see if fuel sprays out or just trickles out of the drain tube.

WELL, they called am and said it finally acted up three times Fri. Evening. She said the code showed IPR or IPO, forget exactly what she said. They ordered the parts, etc? Also the shaking I experienced was a bad DRAG LINK? All in all, said it was gonna cost me around $1,000, well anyway if that is the problem and it gets fixed, that is all I want, time will tell, THANK YOU GUYS< I will keep you informed, Trisha

well the bad part is the ipr is almost 300 bux from ford, and half that from international IF you need the whole IPR wich you most likely dont and only need orings.hopefully you get lucky and it only needs orings and thats all the dealer puts in it.but it is a ford dealer so they will most likely replace the whole thing.or like they do like to do and replace the orings but charge you for a complete IPR.

They just may and I would not even know it, because they have to pick up so many wrecker charges, we'll see, but I was quoted approx $500 for the IPR and $400 for the drag link! Trisha

For what she's gone thru, taking the truck back away from the dealer to have you (or someone else) do the job to save a few bucks would only further delay and complicate things. Even if you would do it for free, at this point I'd say peace-of-mind is worth $200 to have the job warranteed...

Besides, no sense in rubbing salt in the wound.

Trisha, sounds like you are finally making progress. Keep us updated~

What else would you expect from a dealer? I agree with kenholl. If they indeed found the problem I'm sure you just want it taken care of already. Let's just hope that's it!
