I hear you I have a SCT XCal 3 sitting in my closet at home from my F150 that I am itching to use but I dont like the thought of the repair bill that could follow. I love this truck and its a real beast once you get the turbo spooled up and its been even better now that I got the injectors fixed. I was talking to my wife Labor Day weekend as we were coming home and were passing people pulling hills and I told her I am glad we bought the diesel to tow our fifth wheel.

Diesel is the only way to go if your going to pull or work with a truck. On my first trip pulling the 5er I blew by a Dodge with a hemi going up a long grade. He was pulling a toy hauler and his duals were really talking. But under a load even a hot gas engine cant work like a diesel.

Hi I have a 2006 F250. Can i just cut out the cat and muff and weld a pipe to reconnect. In other words keep stock exhaust just cut out the cat and muff. Can I do that? Is it the same as an aftermarket straight pipe? Sound/MPG is what im really going for

You can but its not the same as an aftermarket exhaust. Most aftermarkets are 4in or 5in when the stock is only 3-1/2in and the bends are different on the aftermarket causing to flow better. Yes it will help by eliminating the muffler and that cat but it doesn't solve the entire problem.

X2. Stock 3.5" diameter and crush bends (?), you really havent done much.

Ok im looking into the MBRP Im getting a good deal on it since my bud owns a performance shop. Will the exhaust alone make my truck sound like a fighter jet getting ready for take off. lol
