I have a 2007 6.00 powerstroke, get about 13 miles per gallon. Really bad I think. Have a friend that get bout 20 mpg in a '04. What gives? I have 35s w. 6" lift. I would like to get bout 18 at least. Any suggestions????

Mileage will be different depending who you ask but I have kept track of mine since new and haven't averaged 12. It pulls whatever I put behind it and it's 4 tons so I woundn't expect 18 but 15-16 would be nice.

I would suggest you ask your friend to be precise in his mileage and not get bout 20. Mine has Airaid and 4"straight pipe with 285/16 in an 2004 6.0 and computer and fillups both only show 16.1 mpg. :stir

The lift and bigger tires will kill your mileage. I have gotten 20.9 mpg only once and never again. I do get 16-18 mpg on every day driving. Notice mine is totally stock!

City I am getting 11-13 and on the Highway I am getting 15.5-16.5 and it's a 4.5 ton truck that I bought to tow a 10k 5er and I was after towing mileage and power more than anything else. As people have posted before the lift and tires are not helping you any and it also depends on how far down you press the go pedal.

With bigger tires than stock unless you have adjusted the speedo your mileage calculations are affected. Larger tires turn less but use the same or more fuel to turn them. The speedo thinks you went less miles but your using the same or more fuel to cover those miles.

It is dropping your fuel mileage calculations whether they be in the dash or by hand. Unless you have done something to adjust or are running a tuner that will adjust for tire size you have skewed numbers.
