Sorry I did not fully understand what you did. Is this a turbo back system? If so I have heard rumors about removing the cab to install that piece of exhaust. Is there any truth to that?

You have to cut the stock down pipe in two to remove it, the new down pipe is a two piece design. And yes its a turbo back kit meaning the entire exhaust from the turbo back is replaced not one single piece of stock exhaust remains on the truck when done.

very nice! so you did change the stock down pipe off the turbo? i thought the kit you have uses the stock down pipe and turns 5" in front of the DOC? i am looking at what i thought is the same kit for around 600 bucks with no chrome tip, but now i am a little confused about the down pipe . is this about right? and if you have to change the down pipe off the turbo, what problems did you have if any? i am currently running the performance tune from sct 9623OR with a 4" DOC/DPF delete pipe but then drop back to the stock 3.5" exhaust right before the resonator to the tail pipe temporarily . the EGTs are lower and barely break 1000 deg beating the living snot out of her empty, but the clutch is done for any thing higher than this . if you have a model number or any info, i would like to compere before to you before;tu i buy, it would be helpful. thanks and sweet truck!

I got it from puredpfdelete.com (dfusers shop) it was kit # 638 and come with everything from the turbo to the tailpipe except a tip. I didnt have any problems other than my batteries not being fully charged on my saw and a crappy blade other than that it went smooth, I would recomend wraping the upper portion of the new down pipe with header wrap being its not double walled like the stocker was.

About 6 hours, though only because I had to let the batteries recharge and go get a new blade. If I had fully charged batteries and a freash blade it would have only taken 1-1/2 hours to do.

well i finally got one. you are right that wasn't to hard to install. i noticed more power right a way. i did use the muffler (the twister) and the truck goes and sounds great. all this time i thought the stock down pipe was close to 4", but never thought it had an outer shield for heat, until i cut through it. i recomend this exhaust very highly to any one!! thannks for all the advice and info SEABEE08!!!! ;tu
