Diesel here is going for $2.80. Judging by the way it has risen lately, it wont be long until we are at $3.00 a gallon. Oil is going to be near the $100 dollar mark soon. Are we really going to go through this again?

My conspiracy side thinks the price of fuel caused the recession. Lets see...I spent way too much on fuel getting to work and now I cant make my mortgage payment. Kind of a catch 22, dont ya think?

Hang on gents, here we go again!

my spidey sense is tingling too..... i would agree w/ you on your thought. it has been jumping up then dropping a couple of cents then jumping up then dropping a couple of cents here too. last i saw it was $2.89 - haven't been out much lately... to notice

it is not necessarily the mortgage, but it certainly has cut into the 'extra cash laying around' fund if you know what i mean:eek:

The beginning of the good weather usually begins the price climb. It goes up during driving weather and falls in the beginning of winter.

I had the same problem once but was driving 122 miles round trip to work. Wanted to drive a diesel so i bought a used VW new beetle that got 48 mpg. Drove it 229K and the wife traded it on a 2009 Vw Jetta TDI that gets 50 for me.
