The way my truck sits right now isnt working out for me. It is lifted 10 inches and on 40's. Can someone please tell me everything that im going to need to make this stock height again? I have no clue on everything im going to have to swap out. Any info will be very helpful. Oh and if there is a place i can start looking for these parts with out breaking the bank. Thank you in advance.

moose,

Is this all suspension lift, or a combination of suspension and body lift? Did you do the lift yourself, of have it done/bought it that way?

Off the top of my head what I can think of is, Stock Height Springs and mounting hardware, shocks, any lenghtned steering components, possible lenghend driveshafts, axels may have been truned slightly to help with driveline angle.... smaller tires and posibally wheels if the wheel width is to wide.... and I would say expect to have to replace at lease some if not all the fastners as they may be damaged....... I might replace any fastners just to be safe.....

If there is a body lift, you will need stock hight body mounts and hardware, and depending on the body lift height you may have to remove any extensions for control levers wire harness.... any filler panels behid bumpers that have been added to fill the gap.....

These are just some things that I can think of, you may not have all of them listed but just trying to cover all the bases, and I am sure that other will add more info.

As for the replacement parts, if you are wanting to go back to stock height, I would look at wrecking yards and get stock parts.....

If it is 10" lift, you are looking at drag links, steering arm, stabilized links, spring hangers, springs and shocks. This is not a complete list, but something along the lines of what you will need to replace. Also there can be hangers on both ends of the springs that will need to be replaced. A LOT of work.

Roughly how goofy will it look if i dropped to a 35 inch tire? Just seeing my options to be able to use this truck.

Another option, Post an ad on craigslist offering a trade for your 10" lift. Someone out there probably wants a lift but is short on cash. You get all the parts you need and the other guy gets the lift he wants for just his labor. Get both trucks in a nice size garage over a long weekend and everyone is happy.

Hey Scot, That's really thinking outside the box! Great idea, and would be a real win,win situation if it could manage to happen.;tu
