Do they make extendable mirrors with turn signals that will bolt on to my 2000? How about the wireing, it is a pain or easy?

It will bolt on, but the wires are missing. I am sure one could get the wires from Ford, but you will have to talk to the Parts Man. He should be able to tell you what all you need to make this work.

Mirror Conversion

It's not hard at all here's what you need, obviously both mirrors with the lights and heat. Get one relay, standard ISO 30 or 40 amp and a spool of 16 gauge wire from the local parts store. Also an assortment of connectors, butts, spade females and males, eyes etc... Your factory power mirrors have three wires, they are color coded the same for both sides so cut the plug off and use your plug off the old mirror. Then find a good ground, 12volt source, toggle switch or temp switch (little more complicated). wire the heated side to the relay and switch, wire the parking lights into the cab and out to a front light, you can pick up the turn signals at the front markers also if you choose to do so. There is nothing to it.

mirrors

Thanks that is next on my list. I decided to keep this truck and buy a smaller high MPG something to run around in. I guess it is time I figure out what I want to do to it.

temp switch

As in using the square button switch that fords use for turning on a rear window defogger??? How is the wireing for that switch routed so that it turns off automatically when the key is turned off and does not come back on by itself when the rig is restarted. This is normal on my wife's Expedition. I would like to put in the same switch so it works the same way.

Switch

I think they use a timer/module of some sort, maybe the measure current draw from start to stop, don't know for sure but a wiring diagram will be much help to you if that's the route your taking, I got a toggle under my power mirror switch to control my heated mirrors, simple and effective.

Well I have the opportunity to get some tow mirrors for my 99. I went to put them on and try them out and they wont plug into my stock wires. They looked like they are off of 99-04 maybe. They are power but manual telescoping and no heat and no turn signals. They only have 3 wires goin to them. My trucks mirror harness is round and the tow mirrors are a flat connector. Do they make an adaptor to make them fit my round connector or am I gonna have to just cut the connectors and spice them into my truck? I hate havin to splice if i dont have to.
