Anyone know where I can tap into the dome light hot wire on both sides of the truck?...or even one place? Prefferebly not up top. Somewhere under the dash. Thanks

I tap into the dome light under the DS kick panel, remove the the door sil and kick panel, drop dome light to found the color wire thats at the light and traced back to the dash

Drop the Dome light fixture to see what color the Hot lead is.. then do like BIGMike sez. All the Cab roof 12v stuff runs up thru the D-side pillar. (on my 2k anywayz)
Or.. get a wireing diagram.. year specific ??

Yep, dome light wires run under the drivers side doorsil and come out close to the parking brake.
I know because I cut the wire to my cargo light off of the dome light wire and added a new wire all the way to my dash so that I could turn the cargo light on and off with a switch.

Not a bad idea...I'm just running out of places to put switches lol. Not really I have three switches mounted already. I have a switch for my gauges, my spot lights on the bumper, and my 875W inverter.
