My Blend

I've been blending for almost a year now and the 7.3L is LOVING this blend the best:
MASTER BLEND:
80% WVO
20% D2

ADDITIVES: (% of Master Blend)
2% Paint Thinner (medium naptha)
0.5% Turpentine
0.2% Acetone

Temperature in South FL has been running in mid 90F so viscocity is NOT an issue.
Smoother, quiter engine, with MUCH quicker throttle response than straight D2.

Did you have to do any modifications to the fuel system for that fuel?

None at all.
The key is to remove all the water and filter down the WVOto 2microns.
Most mods with heaters and 2 tanks are with the straight WVO to thin it out enough to burn. The colder it is the more important it is to thin the WVO down.
Most of the "snow states" are going to have to thin down the WVO with more D2 or RUG (reg unleaded gas) usually no more than 10%.

The main thing when switching to Bio is to change your filters after about a tankful of Bio, as it will dissolve all of the gunk in the tank and plug up the filter. Also carry a spare filter with you for such an occurrence. I ran bio for two years before I moved. There is bio here, but I don't drive the truck enough to bother.

My bio station stopped carrying B20. They said that it was more expensive than #2D...but they added, when the price comes down they would carry it again.

I actually LOVE the smell...smells exactly like BioD to me.

It's really been cracking me up on these "other" forums, where guys are posting that it is impossible to mix Veg Oil with Diesel. :nono:

I just challenge them to take an empty water bottle (dried out), fill it 75% with Veg Oil and 25% Diesel, shake it and then come back and post what you discovered.

Guess what...they NEVER repost. :lmao
