My local Ford dealer has this truck on their lot, Bob Tomes Ford - 2003 Ford F-350 Super Duty CREW CAB 156 LARIAT 4WD and it almost sounds too good to be true. There's a link to the CarFax report which also states that the truck only has a little over 28,000 miles on it. However, the "label" says that it's a 156 WB truck when it appears to actually be a LWB. It's hard to believe that a 2003 6.0 L has less than 30,000 actual miles.

Man I like everything about that truck but the Sunroof. Sweet one.

the mileage is believable to me in theory you'll have to verify visually. Many people purchased these trucks for towing 5th wheels or other travel trailers, take note of the brake controller which appears to be a tekonosha prodigy

if they only used the truck when they needed a truck or to tow the toy of choice then 3k/yr is reasonable. couple that with someone on a relatively fixed budget who recently hasn't been able to use it as much as they would like due to fuel prices and finally decided that it's time to sell since they aren't driving it.

That's a good looking rig. The moonroof is not a problem if factory installed and properly maintained. Take a water hose and have water running over the moonroof while sitting in the truck to see if it leaks. Check the roof drains and rubber seal. My seal has been replaced once with no leaks since.

Price seems a bit high for 2003 even with low mileage. 6.0L 2003 had quite a few bugs that had to be worked out. 7.3L was better in the 2003. Check to see if it has been chipped or if a programmer was on it. See if head bolts have been replaced. Get an OASIS report from the dealer on the VIN number.

That my opinion and only an opinion.

You couldn't GIVE me an 03 with a 6.0! I've seen too many problems with them!

I know what you mean. With the low mileage on this one, you never know. I think it is a local truck and not one found at an auction. It's possible that it was only used for towing.

Never had any major issues with my 03 and i'm running the original flash, and getting great mileage. You can tell it's low mileage cause the steering wheel hasn't started to peel.

I didn't get the keys to look inside and under the hood, but the outside was "showroom clean" (of course) and it looked like it had new tires on it. It also had a spray-in bedliner and did have a gooseneck hitch (without the ball). I took the F-150 in for an oil change but didn't have time to look over the 350 since I had another appointment right after that. Need to drop off the Explorer tomorrow, might take a closer look then. I asked about financing, and they said that they could go 4 years at around 10-11%.

I have a friend in Mesquite and he has a early 03 6.0 that's still running the original flash, and getting great mileage, also. I don't think it's ever been back to the dealer for anything. The first 4 years he had it he was always pulling his 36 ft fifthwheel on long trips.
