Have anyone here had problems getting the 4X4 hubs to unlock? It doesn't seem to matter if the they locked automatically or were manually locked they are just down right stubborn to unlock. I do back up and cut the wheel full lock left to right and do the same going forward for about 40 ft and still it takes a few tries to get em to pop. We usually use 2 people, one to spot and one to drive or I just hang my head under the truck to check. It's been to the dealer and the vacuum servo has been replaced but didn't make a big difference. Are they just PITA?

Well since I got old GM's and Ford's around I'm kinda use to have them pop within a few feet and a quick steering wheel shake. This is trying my patience. The worst part is I know not every one who drives this truck will even check never mine have to crawl underneath and shake the drive shaft. I kinda figured it was cold weather making things stiff but it seems to be the same in warm weather also.

My 04 would stick and I would end up finding it out on the HWY so I check them twice a month in winter when up in the mountains. In florida once a month check. I think the grease they use is the problem. It get sticky overtime and heat. My front hubs are stuck now, I can not even turn them so it's tear down time.

I think I didn't get my problem across properly. The hub knob turns just fine, it's the internal part of the locking hub that's not disconnecting easily. I have yard truck's that are OLD and abused and rarely get serviced and their hubs disengage just nicely. This truck is only 3 years old and got very little mileage on it and the hubs have never unlocked nicely. Just wondering what others are finding.

Read the prev post's....my wife hauled horses all weekend and they never unlocked. I bet she backed up the 38 ft G neck a few times, but only used 4X4 once and that was to get the trailer out of the holes it sank into.

Well had to grab 4X4 again while moving our 38ft horse trailer around the yard after 3-4 in dump of rain and the hubs unlocked with no theatrics, wheel shakes, nothing. Just pulled ahead about 3 ft, this is kinda odd....
