99 F350. I have replaced the shocks front and rear, tires rotated and balanced, new front end links, but I still have excessive bounce at about 35 - 45 mph. Can't tell if it is from the front or the rear. Tend to feel it is the front, but not sure. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what is the fix? Where should I be looking? Any thoughts are appreciated.

is the bounce vertical, or a side to side shaking?

The track bar bushings wear rather quickly and will give you a violent shaking with a bit more side to side feel.

I just finished replacing all of the spring bushings on my front end to get a bouncing, and overall "loose" front end feeling gone.

Vertical. It does feel like the front end is a little loose.
My original thought was that the leaf springs might need replaced. I know that is a long shot, but it does have 240,000 miles on it.

Sorry for the delayed reply;
Check your bushings, you may not be able to feel the movement by hand nor see any obvious sign that they are bad without disassembling some. Here's what mine looked like.

I only have 175K but 4 more years. Looking back I've been chasing this problem for the past 5 or more years by slowly convincing myself that every other front end component was the problem simply because they are replaced far more often. The last trip I took, before I fixed it, it felt like the passenger's front tire was out of round and was hopping up and down, varying speed would remedy the problem but the speed that it started or stopped at would vary with road conditions. I like you have new (less than 20k miles) on the shocks.

I will suggest having someone else drive your truck for you while you follow in another vehicle and look to see if you see an obvious vibration or jumping, there is a possibility that you have a belt separating in one of your tires.

Thank you Brandon. I had thought about replacing all the bushings eventually just because of their age, but never thought about them being the cause of the bounce. Much appreciated.

If you don't mind, what type of bushings did you replace with, OEM or poly?

I ordered energy suspension poly ones from summit racing, they were the cheapest on the whole lot. Autozone could order them for me but not the sway bar set or the track bar set. If you're replacing go ahead and replace everything. I got rid of about 1" of play in my steering wheel with just the front replacement. I haven't quite made it to the back, I finished the front the day my wife went into labor. The back will come shortly, I hope.

I've put poly bushings as they've worn out on my daily driven '93 BMW and only noticed minimal increase in NVH however the handling changes were dramatic. If you do not lube the poly bushings enough then they will squeak loud enough to be heard and if you're like me it'll drive you crazy. When I realized the little tubes that come with it are not enough I ordered a tub of poly eaze to use and thus far on my car I haven't had problems with squeaking 5 years later, so that's what I used on the truck instead of the supplied lube.
