I'm a newbie here but not new to the FORD community. Just purchased my 2000 F-350 yesterday.

Truck has 6 or 7" lift, aftermarket rims/tires ... appears to be stock engine all the way to the filter (but won't stay that way under my helm). :lmao

Here's a picture of it:

Couple of items that I am thinking of starting off with on this truck:
* Fix the tire rubbing issue. Tires are hitting the leaf spring! Errr!!!
* Heavy duty floor mats (no floor mats? really! errr! LOL)
* Bug guard
* Aftermarket air filter?
* Tuner? SCT? I dunno.

Welcome! Awesome lookin truck. Yea I would def do the DIY intake and do an exhaust. Both will make it breathe really good. Check out the Wiki page on this site and see all the other cheap mods to do to it. Lots of great info on this site.

What's a decent intake? What about exhaust? There seems to be a slew of opinions

The DIY intake is the best. Its the Do-It-yourself intake. Its also the cheapest. The Donaldson airfilter is available at NAPA only it seems. Atleast around here it is. It was like $58 a few yrs ago. The cummins guys use it. About 4 or 6" of 4" exhaust tubing and yer done! Stay away from K&N! They dont work on diesels. I run MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust (Full system). Thats pretty much the best exhaust out there for diesels, atleast they seem to be #1 when it comes to exhaust. I dont know what your state law is when considering inspections. Some states you HAVE to have your cat on it. My state doesnt do EPA inspections so Im just runnin straight exhaust. Check with this sites sponsors and see whats out there.

What do you mean by "About 4 or 6" of 4" exhaust tubing and yer done!" .... where am I changing the exhaust from and to? Sorry for all these questions but as mentioned, I'm a newbie at this 7.3 and to diesels LOL.
