Some F350's we just got transported

Moved a total of 9 of these.

2 to NJ
1 to MD
6 to CA

The 1 F250 Super Cab with short bed and a some kind of exterior roll cage.

The other 8 were F350 Reg. Cab SRW with service bodies.

All going to Progress Rail Services.

Happy for anyone who is working, Stephen. I guess they fit the wheels that let those trucks roll on the railroad elsewhere. I've seen them on the CSX tracks around Crestview.

What they use those roll cages for? Looks pretty sweet. They have tons of those trucks here in my area. Even big bucket trucks with the train track wheels on them. Wonder how fast you can go on the tracks with those trucks?

I believe those cages are possibly limb risers. I've ridden with the congressional delegation out of DC in those trucks to review allocating federal rail funds to beef up the lines. We never got over about 15 mph in one. You just set back and mash the fuel or brake.

HAHA do they not do good at that speed or somethin? Never been on a train. I've clocked the trains since the tracks follow the roads and some do 50 or 55mph! Thats movin especially with close to 100 or more cars behind them!

With a Hy-Rail truck depends on the track condtions. Welded rail that is in good shape 45 is not an issue. The truck will just glide along. You can call this nap time.:D

Welded rail or jointed rail that need tamping is another story. Specially with a Super duty crew cab. Hit that at 45 and you feel some stange things. Like the rail gear liftng off the rails.:eek::eek::lmao Those long boats will get a nice bounce going. They will hit a point that the rail gear will lift off the rails then slam back down on them. Makes for a nice thud.:D It's then you realize that there is nothing keeping you on the track.

As for the trains. They can do fine at those speeds. Again depending on track conditions. When I was playing with the big trains, Amtrak allowed us 50 MPH max speed on their lines. That was fun cruising with 80-100 cars. Nice smooth ride with the longer trains.;tu _Providing you have a good engineer.:D
