I usually take 4 parking spaces in a lot, usually on the outside edge. I'm sure some people look at the truck and figure I'm a stuck up jerk, but oh well. I don't get any door dings that way :lmao
I can't remember the last time I had to parallel park. Even with the bug :dunno

It took some getting used to going from my 97 ECLB to the 06 CCLB. The 06 is 27" longer than the 97. When I test drove it, I missed the parking spot by ALOT. You know you look cool when you need to make a 3 point turn to get into a parking spot.

Congrats on the truck. When I got mine, I used orange cones in an empty lot until I got used to the larger truck (I had an old '84 Toyota 4 x 4)

Welcome aboard!!! I hear ya on the parking. Many years ago, I drove a 60 passenger school bus (Ford B-600). I learned to drive it backwards almost as good as going forwards. When I had my 250 SWB CC, I backed it into most all parking spaces unless it was one where I could pull through to the space in front where I could still drive forward out of there. I still back into spaces with the F-150 and the Explorer. It's just so much easier to drive forward out of a space no matter what vehicle you're driving.
