Had the morning off, so I decided to overseed the arena..
I knew the tractor had a flat tire, so I went to move it into the shop and fix it..

OH GOOD a dead battery..
charged it up, barely got the tractor started..

off to TSC for a battery..

got it running, moved it into the shop, fix the tire..

I started at 9:30, it's now pushing 11:00..

get the aerator out.. broke it twice..

finished aerating, switched to the seeder..

broke IT...

half-hour fixing that..

it's 1:00pm

I'm going to work so I don't have to work as hard...

Sounds about like some of my days, some days it don't pay to get up.

I have had many days like this, but now that I am retired, I find that they don't happen very often. Take your time and don't rush. I know you can't do a thing with a dead battery but replace it. Oh well the joys of farming! :D

Being a man who tries to follow his own advice, I think I'm gonna leave now and go to work. :tounge

I feel the pain JL. I spent 2 hours welding on my "cracked to hell" DuAl loader so I could feel ok about pushing snow and when I finished I went to try it out and broke the front end off my "M" Farmall.

What more can a guy ask from a 50 year old loader mounted on a 70 year old tractor?

Glad you did not get hit by them tornado's. But that's why I tell myself everything will take twice as long and be twice as expensive. That way when its not I'm happy! :D

p.s. thanks to this crazy weather I also rolled, aerated, and fertilized. And I swear I'm already greener than everyone else in the hood!
