i just bought a superchips cortex 1950 tuner and am pretty happy with it. i do have the option of taking it back and getting a credit toward a different tuner. h&s maybe. i cannot do a dpf or erg delete with the cortex. is it worth the extra $300 to get the h&s so I can? looking more for mpg increase than performance. thanks

I have a Superchips on my truck and have been very pleased with it... but I've been told the H & S is defiantly worth the $$$. If you have the means to get it then go for it. But if you're like me and are a po boy. Then save up lol :lmao :sweet

On Edit:

I know that H & S doesn't make a tuner for my vehicle ;)

I originally went with an edge evolution but recently went with an h&s because I did an EGR delete and the edge did not support it. If you are planning on doing an EGR delete it would probably be worth it to just get a tuner that supports it right from the start because you may have trouble selling the other one if you decide to do it in the future.

I just realized you were talking about mileage increase as well. I didn't find any difference between my edge and the mini maxx.

I have the Mini Maxx and I'm quite happy with it, mainly for having the ability to actually 'see' what is going on under the hood. I didn't realize our oil temps got as hot as they do on long hills, towing extreme grades for a long period, although it scoot's up the hill with no issues! I always keep my EGT's below 1200, albeit, I've never yet seen it over 1100 yet.
The tuner gives you the ability to set it to 'defuel' at set levels, which it has done for me once, with an oil temp of 237 degrees. It's also nice to look up any codes and reset them as you wish, along with no more wasted fuel on regens.
