2001 E-350 is very sluggish until its up to operating temps. I'm sure the GP's need replaced, and a cold buzz test indicates some weak injectors, but they seem to buzz better when its warm. Its hard to even drive until it warms up, even with warmer outside temps. I've never seen a psd act quite as bad as this one. So would the weak injectors and glow plugs be the whole problem? What do ya think?

Thanks
Neal

I would check out the exhaust back pressure valve. I have mine disconnect just because of the total loss of power when cold. Mine almost caused me to get hit several times about a block from my house because of lack of power. It was really a problem in the winter time but it also caused a problem in the spring and fall. Its been disconnected for about 10 years now with no problems of any kind.

Check the EBPV like Jimmy said. And also make sure the small diameter tube leading to the EBP sensor on the front of the engine, to the right of the water pump, is clear. These get clogged with carbon and cause sluggish EBPV operation.

X 3 on what Jimmy & John said.

(you can wire the EBPV so it's controlled by a switch in the cab, that way you can use it when you want, or need it ?)
