Serviced the truck yesterday and changed out my water filter for the first time since the install. I was expecting a filter full of casting sand but was surprised after cutting the filter open that it contained about a quarter of a teaspoon of sand in the bottom of the can and nothing in the pleats of the filter. I did flush out the engine 5 times before bringing it in when they did my ARP's and delete. Have to pat myself on the back for a good flush job. Had over 7500 miles on it.

I didn't get much more sand out of my 6.0 when I installed my coolant filter. I did find some other junk in the pleats. Did find out what it was though.

Wish I could have said the same about the 3 it took to clean up my 7.3. Now all I get is very little, if any.. crud. I'm think'n about doing the filter change every 2 years.. cuz I don't put the daily/yearly miles on.. like I did before retirement.

The 5 flushes was prolly the key f100. ;tu:hail:clap:

Okay Dave.. what WAS in yours :coffee:)
