Intercooler separating OEM

I figured out why I’m not making boost, and this is why,

Is this common? Any reason why is would happen?
Which after market to look at.

NO not comon, that I know of. Over boost would do it or a bad clamp job from the maker. Over boost will show the weak spot in the system, whats was your boost running before. Take it to a rad. shop and have them take it a part and clean it and reclamp it. They need to replace the rubber O ring seal on the tank.

Should, it's a big rad. basely. Should be able too. Would not hurt to try.

Update, I found one at a salvage yard cheep, went over to pick it up and it is doing the same thing as my old one. At the same location, it was starting to separate. So I went and ordered an after market intercooler. I just hope this will permanently fix this issue.

I would be worried about overboost conditions if thats the case. A little overboost won't hurt but I think if its enough to seperate the intercooler, and you know its not just a freak event with one flawed intercooler, you are looking at a LOT of overboost. You might prevent some serious engine damage by taking a little time to look over the turbo.

I got the new Mishimoto Intercool in and looks sweet!

Got it installed and the truck seems to be more responsive and runs like champ! Very HAPPY!!! ;tu
Next upgrade will be the coolant filter.
