Help Needed exhaust smoke

Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I am 35 and recently purchased my first Ford(Super Duty F250 6.4). I purchased this truck used with 36,000 miles(2009) It has no mods as far as I know. I often see the same truck(6.4 2008-2010) with CLEAN exhaust tips. My truck mildly black smokes from take off or when punching it. I have never seen a dash light go off. I have replaced both fuel filters. Is this normal? Why are my exhaust tips black? Thanx for the input guys!

It may have a Tuner on it if it smokes very much. Welcome to SDD.com. Always good to have another Texan on here.

Need to look and see if someone took the DPF filter off. The 6.4 will not put out smoke if the DPF is on the truck. If it is there, there is a problem with the DPF. Like a crack in the DPF and DPF's are not cheep. So need to get the truck looked over by a diesel shop.
