Question What did you do to your truck today?

I have used retro solutions on the last three trucks. I pulled the kit off the '11 and put them in the '12. I have 55w 4300K in the headlights and 55w 3000K in the fog lights. I ran 55w 5000k on my 2000 and they had a slight blue tint. The 4300K has no blue and is pure white in color. the 3000K lights are amber and work well in fog/rain/snow. The retro solutions kits also have high and low beam which is nice. A couple guys I know have another brand that I can't remember the name of that also have the high and low beam. There aren't many companies that have them.

So overall it sounds like you're pretty pleased with them? I was thinking of getting the 6000k because it said cool white. I want the absolute brightest i can get without having the blue tint.

As far as install goes...pretty simple and straight forward?

Install is pretty easy. On the '11 and '12 I had to be creative to make the wiring harness reach across the truck. The headlights have a relay that you plug one of the factory headlight sockets into. There is one wire that goes to the battery. You will also need to mount the ballasts someplace as well. Once you get the headlights off you will see a couple spots that will work.

I have been working most of these projects for a while. Finally took the time to put the finishing touches on everything. I pulled the passenger side of the rear seat today and ran all the wiring and air tank guage line through the grommet in the back of the cab. Also ran a few extra wires for future use.

My 2000 had the calipers on opposite side of the rear axle. I have seen other 2000 model year trucks with the caliper on the same side of the axle. I think the change was mid year 2000.

They changed it mid-99, changed it back for the early 00's, and then made a mid year change AGAIN.
