Has anyone used the sinister oil cooler in their 6.0's are they good bad or what? I did one a while back for a guy and used one and the part looked of good quality but the box it came in kinda had that tell tale sign of a box from China you know the ones. I didn't have any trouble with it but made me nervouse when i was suspicious of the package. do any of you use them or do you all stay away from them?

When I ordered the complete 6.0 solution from Sinister, they included a Ford oil cooler. But that was in January 2012.

Hey guys. I'm brand new to this site, and just read this thread's question.

Five days ago I installed the Sinister EGR delete kit, and a new oil cooler purchased from Sinister (MKM). The oil cooler Sinister sells is a Ford part. Very easy to read instructions and photos are included in the Ford oil cooler box.

:welcome David! I can't answer your question on the oil cooler. You might check out www.dieselsite.com they are a great company.

Dave :)

Dave,
I was answering the OP's original question. The Sinister Diesel oil cooler IS an original FORD part, packed in a FORD box. I purchased my cooler from Sinister in mid-October 2013. It's now installed in my truck.

Have a great diesel day!

Just checking in and thought I would add my 2 bits. When I changed my cooler out with the Sinister solutions kit in fall 2012, the oil cooler was a FORD oil cooler. It came in a Ford Box with Ford Instructions and seals..

I installed (OR TRIED TO) one in my truck but when I went to torque down the bolts on the oil cooler to the instructions torque spec, thestuds came out of the oil cooler, so I had to go and get a Ford oil cooler from the dealer. In my case the ford oil cooler was much better built than the cheap sinister diesel one. SInister diesel would only reimburse me $200 when the ford cooler cost me $400.
