AC compressor shot

Had no AC a few weeks ago so I bought a can of R134a. Whole can and the compressor would cycle on and off, but never on completely or cooling. I did this with a total of three can with same results. Pressure gauge on tool never read over 35 40 lbs. On the last can thought I saw the oil sealant leaking out the side of the compressor between the two halves.

So it appears I need a new compressor. What else should I change? Orifice valve, Accumulator? (These three are sold as a kit on Rockauto) anything else I should consider?

Truck has about 170,000 mile on it.

Thanks for the help.

The kit is the way to go.. and unless you have all the HVAC tools/equip (Vac pump) you might consider having an A/C shop do the install ??

(Don't ask me why I would recommend that:innocent)

I'm actually wondering if there is anything left in it. Each time I went to put a new can for stuff in it, it had no pressure at all. I, thinking it is all bled out.

What is a good way to flush the system?

Was also wondering if I should change out the condenser and tubing. I figure it would be a way bigger job to get the evap core too.

You know, Dan, I might be inclined to tell you to pull the evaporator housing off and take a look at it as long as you're under tha hood. Save you some more downtime down the road.
