I ordered a pensacola injector kit with glow plugs and valve cover harnesses. My buddy got everything back together and fired it up and a check engine light came on. The truck is a 2000 and did not have an AE injector. He put the old injector back in to replace the AE with the kit, the light was off. I overnighted a new AD and when you crank it there is no light until it runs for a little while. We are scratching out heads and about to go get it scanned but I wanted to get some input in the meantime

You have got to get these trucks scanned or everyone is guessing as to the problem. Save a lot of time and $$$$ - get it scanned!

Contribution test failed on cylinder 1 & 8. That's what I was told threw the codes. Does that mean I got bad injectors from Pensacola or what else could that be?

Re-check ALL of the UVC harness wires & connections for continuity first.. before looking for bad injectors ?

Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor is throwing the SES light , is this typical after an injector replacement?

Not common IMO.

First things to check would be: During the injector~UVC harness change.. the EBPS connectors may have gotten bumped around. Check those connections. And.. on the lower front center of the turbo Y pipe there's a small 2 pin connector for the EBP valve.. make sure it didn't get unplugged during the work also ?

Then maybe just replace the EBP sensor ? (15 years old now ?)

We've got all new valve cover harnesses. I'll check the connection on the turbo Y pipe and it would be safe to say that after 314000 miles the sensor itself could stand to be swapped out. Thanks Joe, I'll update after I get the SES light to go off
