I just installed LEDs in the headlights. I notice that it's a bigger pattern and lightning up over head road signs. Do the stock headlights on a 2016 f 250 not work well with LEDs. The light does seem to be a lot better. I also notice there doesn't seem to be that cut off line when lights hit a wall. Hopefully someone can help me out here without bashing me. Thanks for the help.

Generally each bulb type needs it's own kind of reflector. If you just put the LED bulb in the stock reflector the light is probably scattered all over.

I'm not sure what you mean by that. The kit did come with different colour pieces I could put around the bulb.

The headlight housing is a reflector. It's designed to bend the light from an incandescent bulb certain ways so it lights up the road correctly. HID bulbs need a projector type housing to direct the light correctly. Have you ever seen someone running the cheap HID conversions and the light just goes everywhere and blinds you? That's because they're using the incandescent reflector housing with the HID bulb. It's not a matched set up. When I bought my Cobra it came with HID's in the fog lights. The previous owner had just plugged them into the stock light housing. Because of that light was going everywhere. I could tell I was lighting up signs on the other side of the highway. Not a good thing.

So my guess is you need a different reflector for the LED bulb. Maybe the color pieces are there to direct the beam in the correct direction, but I have a feeling they're just there to change the color for a different look. Do you have a link to the kit you used?

I bought Msport. I spoke to them and they said that I can index them by twisting the bulb. If that doesn't work out they will return my money.

So here is an update. I was able to index the led so that they would point where they are suppose too in the headlight housing. I drove it at night this weekend and all I can say is very happy with them. Also when I was doing this I noticed a clear sleeve over the light which I assume is to cut the Clare down. Thanks for the help guys.

Great to hear how that led light turns out well. Can you share some pics of the light facing the wall for us to see if it is not scattered?
