ive posted something bout this before. I have a 2016 f250. So here is my problem. I have roughly 1000lbs in the box and the truck and squatted over 2-3". image.jpegimage.jpeg image.jpeg

f250 short box...i think it will squat considerably as the rear set of springs are not the same on the 350 long box. most 250s'''short boxes are built for ride over spring stiffness, unless you get the higher gvwr, which pushes you to a 350 .
back in the day my 92 f250 4x4 supercab long box....it took a few gorillas to even phase the load height
now i come from a f350 dually tow boss and it squatted a bit with 2700 lbs of pin weight over the rear axle, and occasionally would touch the over loads

i would get the actual weight of truck empty,
then with your load and see the real world weight. and compare that to the towing and cargo weight guide for your model to find out what the real world cargo capacity is rated for your truck.

I really need to find out the tongue weight of my boat. I have a short bed and it barely moves with the boat hooked up. Same when I towed my Cobra to Az. It might be something to bring up to the dealer. It could be bad springs.

I'm pretty sure for this generation the only difference between the 250 and 350 straight side is the blocks between the axle and leaf spring, the GVW sticker in the door jamb, and the badge on the fender. I know the part number for suspension pieces is the same between my truck and a 350. I did some looking when I bought my truck.

So I stopped by the dealer today to show pictures. They agree that's not right. There is a service bulletin sayin you can remove 2" block and install 4" block at a cost. They said they are going to see what they can do about having this a no charge fix. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will follow through.
