Cruise control stopped working recently. I cannot see anything in the fuse/relay/breaker table in the owner's manual for this. Speedometer seems fine which means speed sensor on rear differential is probably ok? Entire instrument cluster works fine.

One little gremlin that may/not be related:
* With truck turned off and key removed, the "bing bing bing" alerting you to key in ignition sometimes doesn't go off, normally it will if I jiggle the switch.

Batteries fine, no corrosion on cables. I just replaced starter after 210k, but no wiring issues found there either.

Thoughts?

Not sure if this applies to these trucks but several vehicles will have the cruise control stop working when the third brake light bulb is bad.

I guess it's the switch button for on/off in the steering wheel...all lights/bulbs are fine. It just started to work again by itself last week while on the road.

Had the same thing happen. It turned out to be the clock spring behind the steering wheel. My horn also went out.
