Pulled my 24 foot cargo trailer home friday. Backed it into it's spot. Left the engine running to cool the turbo while I unhitched the trailer. When I got back in, shifted it into drive and it wouldnt move. It will go into reverse but not engage forward. I let it set for 5 hours and gave it another shot. Tried reverse first, engaged, tried drive and got nothing. Reverse again engages. Drive again and it slowly went into gear. Moved it from the yard to the drive. Went forward and back a bunch of times. Forward engaged normally each time.
2001 7.3 Excursion 326K miles, 30K on the transmission. Fluid is clean and pink.
What do the encyclopedic minds think is my issues. I dont trust it to go any where or tow.
