i have a 2013 F350 SRW and I would like to make it a dually. Would it be worth doing. Or would it be just as good to trade for a dually. I know guys that do it with f250s don't raise their gvrw but my truck is already a 1 ton just without the duals

Recommend: Trade for a Dually... Only smart/wise option :)

It depends! If you are going for looks, then you can buy a kit that includes fender skirts, rims, & hubs. Then add four new tires.
OR if you want functionality, add a new rear end & drive shaft.

Like Roger said;

Of course all of these options may not effect your GVWR. Maybe trade up to a 450 ;)

Gvwr is set by manufacture... doesn’t change..
Meaning if your exceed that and are in accident. You are at fault more than likely... airbags. Springs, etc doesn’t change manufactures gvwr...
