Ok, so I am having a problem. When I turn my key on my truck USE TO make several DING, DING, DING tones as your waiting for the glow plugs to warm up. A couple months ago it just stopped doing the DINGS. Everything seems to be working fine outside the noise being gone. I’ve checked the fuses under the hood and dash and all are good. I DIDN’T check the big bus fuses (I guess that’s what they’re called). Not sure how to do that. It’s one of those things that is driving me nuts cause I can’t figure out what happened. Anyway, any assistance is greatly appreciated.

That ding should be the seatbelt dinger. It has nothing to do with the glow plugs. If you have your seatbelt fastened before you turn the key on, it won’t ding.

Does the seatbelt light on the dash come on if you don’t have your seatbelt fastened when you turn the key on?

When seatbelt isn’t buckled it’s silent as well as when it’s buckled.

Mine dings with the key out of the ignition and if the steering wheel isn't tilted all the way up. I'll take your problem instead of mine lol.

there is a sensor on the ignition switch, that senses the key inserted, may be that, I have it malfunction on my older truck and it ding all the time with the key in even after start, I had to disconnect it to shut it up. if it is disconnected, it does not ding, may be a bad ignition switch
