I used Rotella 15-40in my truck. Worked great, once it was warmed up. I had the romps with this oil. Switched to 5-40 and never had a problem.

I use Rotella T6 5w-40 and haven't had an issue. Just got my OA back from blackstone after 7800 miles and it was still in really good shape.

Have used nothing but Rotella 15w40 since my first Diesel that was a 1992, back before they even had Turbo's. Knock on wood, always had great performance from it.

You have a lot of choices.
Any of the majors (that meet the Ford spec) will give excellent performance, there is no "best".
Many "smaller" or less popular names give excellent performance as well.
Hauling groceries, I can recommend 10w30.
Hauling loads or trailers, I can recommend 15w40.
If it gets below 15 or 20 degrees where you live I can recommend 5w40.
Currently, WM.com has Sinopec 15w40 on sale for 39.95 for 18 liters (4.75 gallon) that meets the Ford spec, and has free shipping. Mystik is a sleeper oil, excellent used oil analysis, cheap, and does the job.
