Early 99 (Made 10/98) Super Duty 7.3L 4wd Crew Cab 490,000+ well cared for miles.
High pressure oil pump line blew out of hpop and stripped some of the threads. Photos included.
Outside replacing hpop do I have any other reliable options. I've wondered if red Loctite would hold the remaining threads. You can see 3-4 threads on my finger that pulled out of hpop.

The only downside to trying it is another failure so I guess it depends on how reliable/dependable you need it to be.

I don't think you're going to get the line back in it far enough.
I think you're going to end up replacing the pump.
Don't try to glue it. It might hold for a minute, but it's under exactly one butt ton of pressure.

I have a question , i am replacing my HPOP lines with new connections that have threads that connect to the new lines. can i leave the spring in the pump or should i remove the spring?? and if so what is the advantage of leaving them out. I am just doing maintenance and not looking for more power. i don't like to molest my truck in any way .
