Batteries...........

YES there is a big difference in the starting ability of two batteries. These engines are hard to turn over from a dead start and the current capacity of the two batteries makes this happen. A single battery would not be able to get the engine up to cranking speed if cold. There is a minimum rpm that needs to be reached before the computer will tell the injectors to fire. If not, no start.

.... and they just don't make a Single battery, size wise, that would conveniently FIT anywhere on these trucks..... with enough Cranking Amps to start a Diesel (High Compression) engine.

And if they did.. the replacement cost could be a Sale breaker ??

I've had 7.3's, 6.0's, a 6.4, and 6.7's and I always use Motor Craft batteries. I find they are within just a few dollars of "other" brands and have a 90 month warranty...36 month full-rest is prorated. Plus they fit exactly like the originals.

What is the size group for a 2011 350 w/6.7 ?

Also, Any info. on AGM's or Li-Ion ???

I use Odyssey batteries and I have them in everything I own from my truck to boats to 4 wheelers. I live in Minnesota and my truck has sat for weeks during the cold of winter. I remember one time specifically where my truck had sat for 3 weeks and for whatever reason I needed to go somewhere in the evening and the temperature was 15 degrees below zero. My Odyssey batteries cranked it over like it was a warm summer day. One more benefit of Odyssey batteries is they are completely sealed. Most batteries say they're sealed but they're really not. You and run an Odyssey battery upside down if your application calls for it. Another advantage of being totally sealed is no off-gassing leading to corrosion of battery terminals, wires, ect. The current Odyssey batteries in my truck a over 9 years old and have around 140k miles on them. I expect many more years of good service from them. You'll pay a bit more for an Odyssey battery up front, but in the long run they are the lowest cost battery you can buy.

They are great.
But I'll have to disagree on the comment about majority claiming to be sealed, but aren't.
If you said "claim to be sealed/maintenance free." I would agree.
But every battery I've seen advertised as sealed, has in fact been sealed. Now they have also been AGM batteries. So that may make a difference, and not be Apple's to Apple's.

I have stuck with Motorcraft for my f-350 for the last two purchases. I have gotten 4-5 years out of them....
