Just bought 2003 F350 power stroke 6.0. Superb condition. Will not restart after driving and dummy gauges reading temp within allowable range. Engine doesn't overheat when driving. Have not pulled trailer. If I let engine cool about 40 minutes will start immediately. Same issue once I go down road some more. Help greatly appreciated. Look silly in beautiful dully in 105 degrees, sweating up a storm, waiting to restart.

Bad ipr or you have a internal high pressure oil leak.

79 Thanks for the reply. Will look into ipr. Just found small amount diesel fuel and what appears as heavy rust particles in overflow (degas) reservoir. Head gaskets replaced by previous owner. Trk then driven less than 400 miles in a year then I purchased. Will clean gunk in coolant system with Restore and add Zerex 05 coolant. Dont want to spend $400 on oil, tranny, coolant etc temp monitoring system but I see need to have it in. Will delete EGR, add coolant filtering system. Would like to know possible things to consider to lower engine oil temp without doing costly oil coolant pump replacement. Appreciate your time and consideration. 2003 F350 dually 6.0
