We loved our Lance too. The Adventurer that we are probably getting is at a Lance dealer. It got traded in the other day on a Motorhome and they are making me too good of a deal to pass up. I have totally ruled out a S&S due to the seating arrangement so if this Adventurer falls through then I will once again be shopping for a Lance.

Don't hear much about them here either. Where is that Tail Gunner RV dude with some input on the Adventurer line?

Unfortuneately, I can't provide any useful info. Many RV companies are regional in nature, as is Adventurer apparently. I haven't seen nor heard of the brand name here in the great lakes/ upper midwest region. It seems that Adventurer is more common to the Pacific NW, western Canada, Alaska area. Many RV companies have multiple plant locations around the country. The reason for this is basically transportation cost.

Case in point, our friend Maxtor is getting a new Forest River RV which is being built in Dallas, Oregon. Forest River also has more and larger plants in Indiana. But if Maxtor's RV were built in Indiana, the added cost of getting it to California would have had Maxtor running to another dealership looking for a more reasonable price on a different brand of RV. Forest River can be much more cost competitive by building his RV in Oregon vs Indiana.

Adventurer cannot compete price wise in the central and eastern U.S. because of the fuel/shipping costs. That's I don't see them around here.

Well to be fair your claim to fame is "RV Parts Dude" not RV salesman :)

So parts dude, what kind of smokin deal can you get me on a set of Happijac leg extensions(manufacturer part #530000 or catalog #15-0883)? Seems as though the jacks on this adventurer don't go up high enough to reach the bed of a slightly modified 96' F350 with big tires. I am also looking for a set of Happijac Qwik-Load lever action turnbuckles(FM-QL).

You might be a redneck if you have to put a 6" lift on your camper to get it in the truck. :roflmao

I won't be able to look into that until next week. Just before my adventure to Daytona, I worked for a couple of days at the other store in Escanaba. When I got back from Daytona, I was supposed to go back to work on Feb 26.

About the 22 Feb or 23 Feb, I got a call and they told me, "weather sucks, business is dead" come back on Mar 5.

Then last week about 1 March, I was told "weather still sucks, business is still dead, come back on 12 Mar". Additionally "We got 14 pallets of merchandise and we don't have anybody that can take care of it, so we definately need you back by then".

So it looks like Monday 12 March for real this time. I'll be able to look into your leg extensions then. That catalog number: 15-0883 looks like a Stag/Parkway number, is that where it comes from?

The 530000 came from Happijac rep and 15-0883 came from local RV dealer.

OK, I'll bet that the dealer uses Stag/Parkway as his source distributor. We use a total of three different primary distributors because one may handle something the others don't or one may have something the others maybe out of stock on. I'll look into it next week and send ya a PM.

The dealer I am purchasing the camper from ordered me up a set along with a set of centering guides. Since the camper does not have any front bumpers(centering guides act as bumpers)and it does not go up high enough to get into the bed of my truck they decided to make it work :sweet

I will look you up when it comes time for some other upgrades:) I am planning on adding some outdoor lighting, changing all the running lights to led, adding some interior goodies and a few other modifications..

Should be on the back of the truck next Saturday.

Long list to get done this week but hope to get it done before Friday night.

1. Sign papers at the bank on Monday
2. Change camper plug in truck from Lance plug to standard RV plug
3. Remove bed liner and install new rubber mat
4. Reinstall tie-downs that I removed 10 years ago
5. Build braces for outer bumper tie-downs so bumper ends do not fold up
6. Check all fluids
7. Remove tailgate
8. Air-up tires and air-bags

Then all I have to do is drive 300 miles, pay for it and load it up.

Once I get it home I have a new AM/FM/CD/DVD player and color monitor to install. I am then going to remove all the graphics so new ones that match the truck can be installed. Once the weather warms up I am going to change out all the lights to led and a few other little projects :).

How do you like these for taillights?
