Why does it say "Untitled Vehicle" on the plate. Is it stolen? :)

No it was not stolen, Crummy. It has a clean Carfax, and it had a Texas plate on it (look at the pix CHP posted)when purchased, that tag must have been put on for :watchout transportation purposes.

Chris those tags are normal for any vehicle sold by a dealer in Texas. They are a somewhat new design. They changed them a few years back because people just ran the paper tag for a year or two  Now with large permanent marker dates that little problem has been fixed. You are completely legal to drive the truck on the roads with that tag, until the expiration date. Congrats on the new truck.

Bama- get the tanks and wheels polished on that rig, geeze.

glad to hear that it is legal to drive with that tag on it, cause i test drove it to the bank and back, just make sure everything was operating OK.

budro, that truck was up in rich's neck of the woods a week ago, in all the snow and ice, loading for brownsville, tx. so now that it is home, we will finally have a chance to get it wash.

Technically it's a 21 Day temporary tag(confirmed with Prestige Ford today):sweet Every one of the 2008's we drove today had one in the back window.

Dr. Chris arrived around 5:00 pm to take delivery of his new truck. took him for a ride in my '04, so he could see what a real 6.0 could do :sly

got to meet his wife (very pretty by the way), hope you dont mind me sayin that chris.:sweet

i think he liked the train horns the best of anything. we also did some tradin while he was here. i traded him the stainless steel bug shield and he is gonna send me his 6 disc in dash head unit, when he changes to a diff. one.

since he had a long drive back to columbus, ga, we didnt get to go out for dinner like we had talked about, maybe another day.

so, all in all, it was great to meet another fellow SDD member.

Bill, how many '08's did you drive? Must have been several.

Bama, glad Chris's truck made it okay and he's happy with it. I agree with Bill on the temporary tags. In the past with the old ones, I've seen lots of them that were pretty well faded. The dealer would put the "expiration date" on them, but normally they were unreadable. In Texas, many of the larger dealers have people in their office that can issue the tags (they keep a supply in stock), so the wait is not nearly the 21 day period GA is probably alot different.
