    red, black, blue, yellow: I think you answered your own question? Pass thru wires, with terminals interestingly stuck on in-hood side. purple/pink stripe wire...not so sure about that. Is it also thru the firewall?

    I'd be suspicious of the windshield seal; even though that spot you describe is forward of the windshield water flows down hill and along edges. You could test with a hose and an extra set of hands. And maybe a clothes pin for your nose. LOL Just a thought.

    Got bit by the batteries yesterday

    I use those pads. You know, this new truck ('17) has leaky stock batteries. Both clamps have corroded and I've had to strip and repaint. I noticed it's coming back after a year. I wonder if they're too full or if the alternator is just charging them too hot? Anybody else see that?

    My '02 had the same exact problem. Totally intermittent, it would go months w/o doing it then act up. I did have a short caused by a wire in the steering wheel base getting insulation rubbed off, but that would cause a dead short. Fixed that but this power window/radio thing never did get sorted...

    I put HID lights directly into my '02 lenses. Loved 'em. New truck came with LED so I'm loving it. I don't know about any videos, but the HID was easy plug/play. Just needed room for the electrical voltage converter box that came with the kit. Lots of those kits out there still.

    Thank you! Your '04 should be like my '02 was...tight! yeah, a bit of dust at the edges, but this new truck is ridiculous. I can't believe how much road dust I blow outa it!!! You can see daylight on all 3 edges.

    Update fyi. Turns out early build 2017 trucks have a TSB out for this issue. They swap out the tank and sending unit on earliest builds, and sending units on the rest. Found the info on another ford truck enthusiasts website. oh, and my truck has burned through about 17,500 miles since February...

    2017 Platinum ride

    6k miles and i'm loving the new ride. Except the stock fuel tank sucks. I have never stopped so many times for fuel! 17th stop so far, in less than 6 weeks... I think it was about 30 for all of last year with the 100 gallon tank in bed on my last truck....
