Which gauges to pick
ISSPRO EV2 gauges are what I'd reccomend. You can also program their LED lamp to come on when you want. It dies require the purchase of their Attribute Software, but it's inexpensive. Broken Battery Cable
When you install the new cable, and/or clean and re-install the other cable clamps, hit it with a little protector. Just spray it on the clamp. Most will do a fair job and delay the corrosion problem. I have a old can of Krylon (I think that's the brand) in my shop. Had it for years. It sprays...- David Murphy

Question Tansmission Temps
It does sound like it's running a little too hot. It should be between 60-80 deg above the ambient temp. That's normal for a 99-03 7.3L. Running synth along with the 6.0 cooler should help. Don't rely solely on what the fluid looks/smells like. The hotter the fluid gets, the less life it has...- David Murphy

Well Said. ISSPRO just released their latest series, the EV2. They look identicle to the performax series, but they don't require the control module (brain box). They're a good choice for someone who only needs a few (2-3) gauges.- David Murphy
