    Newbee from Dallas

Hey Rockstarmarine, I have a 2004 6.0 myself. It just turned 100,000 on the clock the past week. My kitty is gone and I have a 4" exhaust. The stock air intake has been changed out with an Airaid system. Other than that it's pretty much all stock. It is using a little coolant so I have to keep a...

Newbie Best Way to Bust out a Cat Converter

Hey Trailer Trash, glad you found your way over to SDD. How's the weather on the other end of the Appalachins? If you do not have to have your emmissions tested annually then just remove the cat and put a piece of pipe in the place of it. Don't throw the cat away, you may need to put it back on...

I Saw Some Nice WWII Planes Today

They were in Hattiesburg about an hour from home a couple of weeks ago. The news had a big spread on the planes and the pilots as well as interviews with a few prople that paid the fees to take a ride.

    Truckstop fuel prices

Of course it's old news but new to a lot of people. That's why I put it on here. Things like this seem to surface when fuel goes up and our dependency on ME oil becomes super evident. The ban on drilling in the Gulf is being held hostage since the blow out last spring. The amount of damage to...

Mr. Moderator, If you consider this to be unsuitable for this thread or too political in nature, please remove it or move it to where you think it should be. Here is some interesting reading material about oil prices and what they could be: About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a...

    Undercoating Removal

Surely you mean he just coasted the inside of the bed with undercoating????????? Try some ACETONE to see if it will work any better. The undercoating should be more pliable than what the Line X is so you may be able to scrape some of it off with a plastic spatula or try a razor paint scraper...

    Truckstop fuel prices

Although Diesel Fuel is higher that gasoline (can anyone see something wrong in what I just said), I still prefer the diesel engines. I bought the beetle when my drive to work was on my dime. (120 miles roundtrip daily) The beetle was fun to drive but needed more room for the family, thus the...

Guns! How big is your collection?

My Collection consist of more than I need but not all I want. I too legally carry. The backup up close and personal get off me gun in my pocket is a mini 22 mag with balistic tips. My favorite is a Mossberg bolt action 410 that was the first shotgun my father gave me. Would sell my LC Smiths...

    Truckstop fuel prices

That's running 65 mph. I have seen 51ish if I drive 55 but that is on the newer constructed 4 lanes that have removed the hills and hollows to provide a flatter graded roadway. According to the world record mpg on the Jetta was set at 58mpg in 2009. I traded in a 2001 beetle tdi with 239,000...

    Replacement Shocks

I put Rancho RS5000 shocks on my truck about 6 months ago. They ride wonderful what a big difference they have made. It came with Ranchos from the factory. The bushing on one shock had worn out and one shock was pretty much worn out after 6 years. I purchased four new ones delivered to my door...

    Losing Coolant

I seem to be losing coolant somewhere. No smoke of any kind can be seen but I had to add about a half gallon of G05 mix today. I started noticing this morning that i could not get any warm air out of the heater registers. Within about 5 miles from start it started showing check gage and the...

    Help With Vibration

Sounds like you may have some injector problems from the use of veggie oil. If the oil was cleanly filtered there may still be koching issues. This may create what some are calling injector stiction. Welcome to Superdutydiesel Read this website: Hot Shot's Secret

Question Bridgestone Duravis or Nitto Crosstek HD

The only coment I can make is about Nitto Tires. I have the Nitto Terra Grapplers on my SDD . They are quiet for the aggressive lug pattern and seem to have a smooth ride for Load Range E tires. I like them and I am presently looking at Nitto Mud Grapplers for my son's Jeep.
