need help deciding lift and tires

I guess it depends on whether you want looks or ride quality. If it is mostly for the looks, you could go with blocks and spend more on tires and wheels. If you want a good ride and maybe some flex, you gotta spend more on the lift. Don't have any experience or advise on the brands though...

    Snow performance water methanol injection

Hi. Can anyone respond to this thread? I just read about the Snow Performance MPG Max kit in Four Wheeler. Aren't the kit make/model dependent? And any theory on it working together with SVO on a convertet veggie burner? the meth/water (windshield washer fluid???) kit should clean the...

Help Needed Momentary power loss - What is my Truck telling me?

Hi all. Thanks for the advice. The problem is now solved thanks to a new original Ford alternator. The PSD is running great and I´m happy again! :D

    Help Needed Alternator acting funny

What alternator should I get the shop to order? Another thread is talking about the ones from Autozone. Or is it better to go with a genuine Ford, which is probably WAY more expensive? :dunno As I live in Denmark, the alternator has to work the first time. I'm *not* going to be able to pop by...

    Help Needed Alternator acting funny

Thanks guys. As the weekend progressed, the problem developed, and - sadly - the hammer-method stopped working. In a desperate attempt 200 miles from home, I ended up breaking the bolt that holds the hot wire on the back of the alternator  The voltage sank from 11,7 to 6 and finally the...

    Help Needed Alternator acting funny

Based on my hammer-method you can see that I'm not an expert either:) But I have checked with the volt-meter, and thats how I can tell that it is charging after the hammering. It is reading around 12.4 v - 12.6 v (same as the batteries alone) before and shifting around 12.9 v and 14.2 v...

    Help Needed Alternator acting funny

My PSD is a '00 with about 85 k miles on the clock. Recently the battery-symbol came on in the dash, and I could measure, that the alternator didn't charge. I cleaned the batteries and worked the cables on the alt a little. I also gave the alternator a gentle knock with a hammer. It started...

    Alliance Against Urban 4x4s

This will get awfully close to a political discussion, but I think you will all agree. So here goes: These folks simply don't respect the concept of freedom and the basic right for anyone to pursuit his or her own happiness within the boundaries of the law. I can relate to people caring for...

    Question Anyone ride Mountain Bikes?

Man do those names have a nostalgic ring to them! My 2k$ Marin has a Manitou suspension fork. The cheaper Marin has a Rock-Shox suspension fork, bought with my first earned 1000 crown bill (approx. 200 $)!
