Years ago I broke the radiator casting on my old Farmall tractor.
A buddy of mine at work that had experience working with cast iron fixed it for me.
He V'd out the crack, heated the casting with an acetylene torch and brazed up the break.
He then used JB Weld to cover the brazing and...

Was changing the oil on the rig today and discovered the source of a slow leak I have had for quite some time.
The oil dripping on block heater and surrounding wiring appears to be coming from the brake master cylinder but I cannot find the origin.
Anybody ever have a problem like this...
I am assuming you purged the cylinders of oil and it is not hydra locked..............bad ju-ju.

Sounds like she sucked some air. You may have been closer to "borrowed time" than you thought. Air intrusion could have occurred just before or during your 5gal refill.
Last time mine surged like that was when I forgot to prime the secondary fuel filter when I changed it.

Having the right tools on hand will make life so much simpler. Be sure to get the correct ball joint compression tool. Most found at the local auto parts houses are not big enough for this job...
You have to have that special tool......also, that nut may be reverse rotation......can't remember. On my 99.5 the seal came apart in two pieces. Half I had to take off the axle and the other half I had to drive out of the hub.
