    Maybe just air in the system.........top it off with oil then drive it like you stole it. If it doesn't clear up in 30 miles of wide open throttle then think about other issues. Tbar

    Check to make sure the starter bolts are tight. In the last six weeks two of my friends have had them back out causing the exact symptoms you are describing. The starter gets its grounding from the engine block. Tbar

    I have been thinking about this. Used motor oil does indeed have microscopic impurities but how is that any different than the trash normally found in diesel fuel??? Ie - water, rust, algae, etc that the fuel filtration system deals with on a regular basis. Tbar

    I don't own a 6.0 so I may be all wet here....... To a novice/crook mechanic a bad algae problem could be passed off as a flaking fuel tank. On my 7.3 there is a screen at the fuel pick up that stops the big floating masses. Material getting passed that would be hard on the fuel pump. Now...
