what year is my engine? can You help?

Maxtor, If you look to the rear of the valve cover back near the heater core you should be able to see the sticker that I was referring to earlier. That will give you the build year information. I'm sure someone has a picture. It is pretty easy to see, even for a senior citizen with...

    T-304 vs. T-409

If this issue has been put to bed, my apologies. I have read quite a bit about exhaust systems and something I couldn't reconcile was the difference between T-409 and T-304 Stainless Steel. I like the MBRP exhaust system because of its different options, you can use or delete the cat...

what year is my engine? can You help?

I have a 2005 X with a radiator support sticker that says it meets 2005 emissions and an engine sticker on the passenger valve cover that lists torque and horsepower and says that the engine is a 2004.

    Programmer or Chip?

Six Gun with Power PDA and Airaid Intake, it must be a trend. Very happy, no problems, huge smile.

    AFE?? Worth it or not???

If you are interested in an intake, and want to save some money, you should look at the Airaid. I have it on my 6.0 and it is the third one I have used. Dakota, Suburban, and now my X. The installation was very easy, it was very inexpensive compared to others, and when I asked a Banks...

Last of my Banks is finally gone!!

I don't know if your comments are applicable only to the early Fords or not, but I am very satisfied with the Banks Six Gun with Power PDA (EGT in the driver's side manifold). Gauges are there on the PDA, you use it to change levels, and I added TomTom Navigation. The entire transaction was...

    most power for 6.0

Scott Scott Send me a PM and I'll send you the .pdf on the Six Gun. The set-up with the Power PDA is still the way to go, even if you do have guages.

    Anyone use this?

I have a triple Sport Comp/Autometer pillar mount in my Suburban and they work great. Not your pyro gauge but no problem with the Autometer gauges. All of mine are mechanical.

    most power for 6.0

Scott, I have a .pdf of the installation manual that may answer some of your questions. The TorqShift tranny uses adaptive shift control logic so you will have to go through some steps so it can learn how to deal with the additional power. There have been no issues for me regarding shifting...

    lighting up front

I know this response is late, but...ProComp and KC both make light bars that mount using the Super Duty bumper bolts. ProComp holds two lights and the KC holds four. I used the KC with PIAAs on my X. Dual beam 550s, bright and really bright.

    WHAT ABOUT A BANKS KIT?

To answer the original question, it would be hard to go wrong with the Banks kit. I have the tuner on my 2005 Excursion with the PDA and I have TomTom loaded on it also. A real benefit. I picked up the tuner first, and was promised the bundle pricing when I order the Intercooler and Exhaust...

    K&N Air Filter

To get back to the original question, I have a 2005 Excursion and after careful shopping I purchased an Airaid. This is the third vehicle I have had with an Airaid and have been very satisfied with all. I have also used K&N for decades, first starting off on motos and moving on to cars. I...
