    PROBLEM WITH EGR

Appreciate the comments Robert - it's one of those design problems. Had I put it in the top - I would loose most if not all of the drawer - plus then I'd have to vent the space where the drawer is as the heat side "must" have a cooling fan installed. Can't skip that part. So with the fins and...

    More Gauge ??????s

I have helped install a lot of gauges in the past few years. It seems that some makers include more parts than others - but I don't remember any of them not including the tee fittings. These parts should come from who ever makes the gauges and not the seller. Ron

    PROBLEM WITH EGR

Have you had all of the recalls done to your truck? I don't know if you bought it used or new - but the truck should have had the EBR/EBP valve recall and the wiring recall done to it. From what you describe - it does not sound like it. Take your Bully Dog off of the truck and take it in and...

    Killed my truck

Always worth a try - you never know. I work around computers some days and know that I have popped them with static - and unplugging the power cord and then back in resets them - so it might work here. Not holding my breath though - but still worth a shot. Ron

    Here we go...

Tell him - not only not fun but painful - that awfull smell of tires burning on asphalt as the top layers of tread melt away . . . the deafing roar as the super hot gases scream through the 4" exhaust causing children, old ladies and small animals to scream in terror . . . that awkward feeling...

Milwaukee or DeWalt Sawzall For Rescue

Blade choice also has a lot to do with run time - the Milwaukee "Torch" blades cut fast and last a long time. I think that Milwaukee's are notorious on short run time. I have the 18v cordless drill and it last's nowhwere near what my Porter Cable did. But - it's got a ton of torque and...

PTO idle up mod - 2003 Excursion

Okay - so really you only need the harnass for the single wire - correct? If that's the case then all we are talking about is the actual metal end. That metal end appears to be the same as on any computer connector such as for a printer. That or just make one up. From the way I read...

    New 06 SD 6.0 ?

Another note to the 20" rims is finding replacement tires. I had a heck of time finding Load E range 18" tires unless I wanted to put the same tires back on. But - I would not let this be a drawback if you like the truck - maybe by the time you need tires the manufactors will have caught up...

    New chip is killing it...

:sweet Did you try putting it in the 80 or 120 and then starting the truck? Jody will need to know that incase it is a switch problem. Good luck with it all and let us know what it turns out to be. Ron

What Mags do you all subscribe too for Diesels?

I don't really subscribe to any mags - I get my fill from here and OB and use to on TDS. If it's not here then I use the DVD's. If really bored I'll surf the net for stuff. Ron

    Oh boy.....I screwed myself!

Mine did also - even came with extra parts on the boost gauge so I had a choice of install. Only thing I really needed was a little longer wire to the tranny temp sender. Ron

    New chip is killing it...

Not even a doubt about whether he will take care of you - not a problem there. Again - just to say it cause some guys don't do it - but there are two sides to the contacts and both sides have to be cleaned. So just checking. Try this - with the truck turned off - put the switch in the 80...

    New chip is killing it...

Is this the first time you have ever had a chip in? If so then you need to make sure that your contacts are clean - on both sides of the terminals. Not to the point of seeing silver - but no coating on them. If you have installed one before and it worked fine - then you need to pull the chip...
